Scott Frier

Scott Frier

Scott has been in the field of outdoor photography for more than 40 years. He left a career in education to join the Cousteau Society as chief expedition photographer, working under Jacques and Jean-Michel Cousteau aboard the Research Vessel Calypso. He has photographed both land and underwater subjects in over 60 countries, and his work has appeared in numerous books and magazines throughout the world.

For more than 26 years, Scott also worked for Nikon as a technical specialist and photographer in digital imaging, underwater and wildlife photography. In this capacity he wrote, published and lectured extensively, and has instructed hundreds of courses in all areas of photography including The Nikon School of Underwater Photography and beyond.

Paula Frier

Paula Frier

Paula's love for the art of photography has spanned nearly three decades, and to this day she remains dedicated to sharing her experience with others. She has enjoyed a dynamic career in the world of photojournalism, and has served both the New York Times and Associated Press as a photo editor and multimedia story teller.

Having gained a wealth of experience alongside some of the best photojournalists and editors in the world, she is so pleased to be able to pass on her skill and passion to her workshop students: her unique career now serves her not just in the field, but also when instructing the production stages of the photographic process.
